Hi there, tenz_man-msn-com.

Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I'll share details on how connecting accounts in QuickBooks Online works. Then, ensure you'll be able to achieve this matter.

When you set up online banking, you connect your bank and credit card accounts to automatically download entries. However, sometimes you're unable to perform this one in QuickBooks due to a number of causes. That said, you can read each possible reason below on why QuickBooks Online has refused to link your wise business account.

  • Your bank has multiple names on our list. Make sure you have selected the correct listing or have tried all possible links. Search by the banking sign-in URL to ensure you are using the correct listing.
  • Your bank does not connect to all types of accounts (for example, personal accounts vs business accounts).
  • Your bank is not a participating financial institution.

To resolve the issue you've encountered, you can open this article and follow per recommended steps: Find your bank or credit card account when you connect to online banking.

If the issue continues to occur, I suggest manually importing your entries into QuickBooks Online as a workaround. This way, you're able to transfer your older transactions into the system.

After that, you can now categorize the entries by going to the For Review tab. You can open this article to see the steps on how to perform the process: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Don't hesitate to post again if you have additional queries about connecting your bank to QuickBooks Online. I'm always here to help.
