Question

How do I manually edit the number of miles I did on a single trip? The auto tracker tracked my journeys but recorded a 0 miles for all of them.

I've got you taken care of, darthluft-proton.

There's no way we can edit the numbers of your miles but we can perform some troubleshooting steps to fix it. This will correct your information for individual trips and make sure your device tracks trips accurately.

Let's begin by making sure you turn on the auto-tracking in your app.

For iOS (iPhone and iPad):

  1. Open the QuickBooks mobile app.
  2. Click the menu ☰ icon.
  3. Select All. Choose Mileage.
  4. Click Auto-track your miles.
  5. Follow Allow location access on-screen instructions.

For Android phone or tablet:

  1. Open the QuickBooks mobile app.
  2. Select the menu ☰ icon.
  3. Select Mileage.
  4. Turn on the Auto-tracking switch.
  5. Give QuickBooks permission to track your location.

Then, check the location settings of your device. Refer to the steps below:

For iOS (iPhone and iPad):

  1. Go to your iPhone or iPad's Settings.
  2. Scroll down and select the QuickBooks app.
  3. Select Location. Then select Always.
  4. Turn on the Motion & FitnessBackground App Refresh, and Cellular Data options.
  5. Close your settings.
