How do I transfer my simple start 2010 data to online?

You need to export your lists to Excel to switch to the newer version. Since some transactions are not included in the exporting process, you have to import them manually. Let me guide you with the steps and get you started.

 

  1. Log in to your Simple Start account.
  2. Select Reports from the left menu. Then, search and run Account ListCustomer Contact ListVendor Contact List, or Product/Service List report.
  3. Click the Export icon in the report.
  4. Open the exported report in Excel and remove unnecessary rows or columns.
  5. Save your report again as Excel or CSV.

Next, import your lists on QuickBooks Online.
