Hello, drfenn-fennandfe.

I understand that this hasn't been easy for you, especially since you have already brought up this problem several times. I'll provide you with some details about this matter.

We currently have an ongoing issue connecting Amex to QuickBooks wherein some users received an error " Open Banking UK - Unable to connect AMEX, please try again later ( 355 )". Our engineers have finished their preliminary analysis of the problem and are working intensively to find a quick solution.

If you haven't added to the list of the affected user, I suggest reaching our QuickBooks Online Support again. This way, you'll be notified through email once the situation is resolved.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?).
  3. In QB Assistant, enter the topic you need help with. You can also enter questions.
  4. Select Contact Us to connect with a live support agent.
  5. Choose a way to connect either Start a chat or Call us.

Support is available from Monday until Friday from 8 AM to 10 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 6 PM.

In the meantime, you may consider manually uploading your bank or credit card transactions to bring them into QuickBooks. I've added this link to guide you through the procedure: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Once you've successfully imported them inside QuickBooks, you can start to match and categorize them to put them into the correct accounts.

I'm always here to help you if you need anything else. Have a great day.
