I have QB simple start, but need to upgrade. How can you do this mid subscription. I need QB to add time, mikes and expense to the invoice. Not sure how to do this.

Welcome to the Community space, anthony. QuickBooks Plus version is better for you anthony. You can add time, miles, and expenses to your invoices.

Let me assist you in upgrading your subscription to QuickBooks Plus.

Here's how:

1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as a primary or company admin.
2. Go to the Gear icon and select Subscriptions and billing.
3. Ensure your payment info is up to date.
4. In the QuickBooks Online section, click Upgrade your plan.
5. Look for QuickBooks Plus and then select Choose plan.
6. Follow the on-screen steps to upgrade your plan.

After upgrading your subscription, we can now proceed with turning on the billable expense and the time tracking in QuickBooks Online.

Here's how to turn on the billable expense:

1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Account and settings.
2. Go to the Expenses tab.
3. From the Bills and expenses section, click Edit.
4. Turn on the following:

• Show Items table on expense and purchase forms
• Track expenses and items by customer.
• Make expenses and items billable.

     5.       Billable

     6.       Select Save.

Next, for turning on the time tracking:

1.  At the left navigation panel, select Time.
2. Then, choose if you want basic time tracking in QuickBooks Online, or if you want to try a QuickBooksTime account with more time tracking features. Either way, you can access timesheets from QuickBooks Online. 
3. Click Get Started.
