I recognize the importance to be able to connect your bank account, @Shellh78.

I’m here to help and link your bank account to your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account. Can you share with me the error message you received on your end? This way, I can verify here on my end if there are any reported issues about it.  Any additional information is appreciated.

In the meantime, I’d recommend checking with your bank and see if there are any ongoing issues on their end. It could be the reason why you’re unable to connect your bank.

If this is not the case, I recommend contacting our Support team. They have the tools to securely look into your account and look over to the reason why you’re unable to connect your bank.

In the meantime, let's manual import your bank transactions.  Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your bank's website.
  2. Follow your bank's steps to download your transactions as a CSV file.
  3. Open your QBSE account and go to the Gear icon.
  4. Select Imports.
  5. Click Import older transactions.
  6. Select Browse.
  7. Click the file you've downloaded and select Open.
  8. Review the column headers and select Continue to complete the import.

You can also utilize this article for more details about this: Add older transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Once you’re able to connect your bank account, categorise it to ensure your account is well accounted.

You can always tag me in your reply if you have other concerns connecting your bank to QBSE. I’m more than happy to work with you again. Stay safe and keep well.
