I need to purge my company so that dataswitcher can import data from Sage but am getting a 404 error code. Why?

Welcome to the Community space, @MirageAcc.

Getting an error 404 usually means that the web page you're trying to reach could not be found on the server. You can fix this by clearing out your browser's cache.

Before doing so, you can use a private browser first and purge your data from there.

Depending on your browser, here's how:

  •     Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  •     Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  •     Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  •     Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If you successfully purge your data, you can go back to your regular browser and clear your cache. Otherwise, you can use another supported and up-to-date browser.

There are times too much data can accumulate over time and cause issues when using QuickBooks, so it's best to make sure you clear them out to avoid odd behaviors. Once you're done, you can continue the rest of the steps in importing data from Sage.

Let me know how it goes. I want to ensure you'll be able to process the purge smoothly. You can always tap the Reply button below should you need further assistance.
