Question

I think I'm on the wrong site!

Hi

I've just signed up for Online Self Employed with a view to using it for my home finances.

The problem is that I think I've ended up on the US site instead of the UK one.  When I search banks it has some but with others it's taking me to the US version.

Also, can I merge 2 accounts?  For some reason QB thinks I've already signed up with my email address and when I tried to reset the password to that account it took me via an old email address that I stopped using years ago.  In order to get around this I set up another email address just to use for QB but it's now all got too confusing.  Is there a way I can link the accounts together so I can just use my main email address?

Can anyone help please?

It's my pleasure to be your QuickBooks guide, @tracey2907,

Merging 2 Self-Employed accounts is currently unavailable. You must cancel the incorrect account and start over with the correct product for the correct location.

I highly recommend contacting our QuickBooks Self-Employed Team to help cancel the US account and help import the data to the new profile. They can also update the login credentials so you can use the correct email when signing in.

Here's how to get support:

  1. Tap the (?) Help menu at the top.
  2. On the prompt, click the Contact us button.

I want to make sure you're taken care of, so please let me know how the call goes. I'll be right here if you need further assistance. Have a wonderful day!

Thanks for your help.

It looks like it's going to be a pain already - especially for my needs.

I signed up for the 6 month trial so paid for the period instead of testing it first with the one month trial.  Is there a way I can swap to the one month trial and cancel the payment please?

Thanks for the prompt response, tracey2907.

You can cancel your QuickBooks Self-Employed account and subscribe to a free trial instead.

For paid subscription, here's how you can cancel your account:

  1. Open QuickBooks Self-Employed.
  2. Go to Gear and select Billing Info.
  3. Select Cancel now, then enter your feedback when prompted.
  4. Click Cancel subscription. If you changed your mind, you can select Keep your subscription.

For more information about canceling your QuickBooks Self-Employed through this article: Cancel your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription.

For further assistance and refund questions, feel free to reach out to our QuickBooks Care Support to help you with the cancellation process. You can follow my colleague's instructions above on how to reach us.

I'd appreciate if you'd let me know the results. I'm always around whenever you need help with anything QuickBooks. Have a great day ahead!
