I upgraded from QB Essentials to Plus on 28/4/23. I can see that the pro-rata payment was taken for the upgrade, but the system hasn't upgraded. Do I need to prompt it?

I know a couple of troubleshooting steps to help upgrade your QuickBooks Online (QBO) system so you can start using your new plan's accounting features.

 

Before we start, I'd like to verify what you meant by "Do I need to prompt it?" Are you referring to re-triggering or re-upgrading your plan? If so, you don't have to do this.

 

System upgrades may take some time to load after upgrading to another version of QuickBooks. With this, let's log out and log back into your QBO account to refresh the program and implement the change. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Profile icon (beside the Gear icon).
  2. Select Sign out.
  3. On the QuickBooks Online homepage, enter your Email or User ID and then your Password.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Choose your company (only if you have more than one company).

 

In case the issue continues, I'd recommend clearing your browser's cache or using other supported browsers. Your browser saves files to load websites faster on your next visit. But over time, it'll get outdated, which can cause errors and performance issues using QBO.
