When reconnecting the Barclays account in QuickBooks Self-Employed, you will be required to use PINsentry token to avoid this kind of error. Please make sure you are log in to your Barclays account using your computer. 

 

If you're getting the same result, try to log in to your bank's website and check if there are any issues or updates. Otherwise, follow these troubleshooting steps:

 

Open an incognito or private browser. This mode lets you browse without saving your history or cache. 

 

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

Then, sign in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed and try to re-connect your Barclays account. Make sure to use the PINsentry token in connecting the account. If it's successful, go back to the regular browser and clear its cache.

 

Using other supported browsers can be a good alternative, too.

 

Once connected, your recent transactions will be downloaded automatically. What you can do is categorise and match the transactions.
