If I have Paypal and Amex synched, but pay with Amex via PayPal, do I only accept it off PayPal or Amex, not both? If I accept off both will it show double the expense?

I can share some information about your banking concern in QuickBooks Online.

Connecting both of your PayPal and Amex accounts in bank feeds will duplicate the transactions. I suggest choosing one account only for downloading or accepting expenses.

You can then exclude the importing data from the other account. However, if you connected PayPal as an app, it'll not create duplicate transactions in QuickBooks. Simply match them to the downloaded expenses from the Banking section.
