Im 4 yrs into hp with my van and I cover about 11000 miles a year, the mileage doesn't cover the cost of buying and running the van , how should I proceed ? Mark

Thanks for visiting the Community, @mjallsop. You can record the cost as a normal expense for the transactions last four years ago. Then, start using the mileage tracker for the current year. 

Here's how to start tracking your mileage in QuickBooks mobile app: 

1. Tap Mileage.
2. Tap Auto-tracking.
3. Toggle Auto-tracking on.

To manually track your mileage, refer to these steps below: 

1. Select Mileage, then select Add Trip.
2. Add the trip date, starting/ending locations, distance, and trip purpose.
3. Select Save.
