Hello, Jules1510.

Thanks for your interest in Payments for QuickBooks Self-Employed. It's a great way to give your customers the ability to pay their invoices online with their credit cards.

I can assure you that this feature is definitely available for our Self-Employed customers. Being able to accept your customers' credit card payments by sending an Invoice with a link to pay now is a really handy add-on. Let me go through the set-up process with you to ensure that you're following all the correct steps.

If you're using QuickBooks through your computer's internet browser, you should follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Invoices menu.
  2. Choose to Create invoice.
  3. Hit Set up Payments. A new window will display.
  4. Select Set up Payments again.
  5. Complete the appropriate forms onscreen to Accept Payments.
  6. Finish the set-up process using the instructions provided.

If you're using the QuickBooks Self-Employed app on your Android or Apple mobile device, here are the steps you should use:

  1. Choose Invoices.
  2. Opt to Set up Payments. A new window will display.
  3. Choose to Set up Payments again.
  4. Complete the Set up forms.
  5. Complete the process using the instructions onscreen.

If you're sure you've followed these steps correctly, you'll want to get in touch with QuickBooks Self-Employed support. You can access this support in-product by navigating to the QB Assistant and typing and entering "Talk to human". Follow the prompts to connect with a support expert who can give you a hand.

I hope you're able to get to the bottom of this quickly. If you're still having difficulty, don't hesitate to reply to this thread and I'll do what I can to support you. Take care!
