Im having errors when trying to open PDF’s on iPhone. They are fine on laptops/macOS. Any ideas / known issue?

I have some information about opening PDFs. Your iPhone is designed to open PDF files automatically. While we don't have a reposted case about errors when opening PDF, you'll want to make sure your iOS device is up to date. Just go to your settings to run and install the software update.

 

After updating, restart your iPhone. Then, download properly the PDF file and open it again.

 

However, if you run into this type of error message "Please wait…If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document.”, your iOS doesn't support iOS Adobe Reader. This means you can't open this file on your iPhone. You need to open it on your computer.
