Imaginary Transactions - Blank Payroll Cheques

Quickbooks is creating blank Payroll cheques when the original has been deleted.
This has put our trail balance out of balance!

 

If i click 'view payments' I get nothing.

Basically, I cannot trace, edit or delete this imaginary transaction.

I need some help

Hey there, Freya _D.

 

It's possible that the paycheque wasn't deleted. It was only voided. Once it's voided, you can still see the transaction. Though, the amount is zero and shouldn't affect your trial balance. 

 

Below is a sample of a voided cheque.

 

 

 

 

Since it's affecting your reports, I suggest getting in touch with an agent to have this checked further. Here's how:

  1. Click Help inside QuickBooks.
  2. Go to QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Choose Contact Us.
  4. Enter a brief description of your issue, then click Continue.
  5. Choose either Message an Agent (chat directly to an agent) or Talk to a Specialist (arrange a callback).
