Importing inventory into QB on line from QB Desk Top

Hi 

I am having real problems getting the inventory from QB Desktop to QB online (Plus) 

I had an old desktop system (2012) which is still working but only on Windows 7, so decided to finally upgrade 

move my books took the data base and transferred it but none of the inventory came over 

I then downloaded to excel CSV file and tried to upload it but now it will not take more than 1000 lines of data 

I have over 4120 line items 

can any one help?

Hello Jeremy676, thanks for posting on the Community page, you will need to upload it in smaller chunks as it has a limit of 1000 lines.

Many thanks Ashleigh1 that has allowed me to import but I now have issues with the mapping 

it looks as if the account names are not the same - I thought this would all have been sorted by 'move my books ' when they did the transfer but it seems not.

Do I have to download all the accounts first ?

Hello Jeremy, yes, the best thing to do would be to import the chart of accounts first, then when you import the inventory, any accounts will be in QuickBooks, and you will not receive the same mapping error.
