In QB Online Advanced, can you change the role of the Accounting Firm Users to read and access reports only?

Beforehand, can you please verify what you mean when you said you started a new firm? Did you create a new account for this company, or only modified your current account according to your new firm? I'm asking these questions to provide an accurate resolution.

If you've created a new QBO company for your new business, you can directly add the accounting firm individuals as regular users in QBO with a View company reports role. This permission allows read-only access to reports except those with payroll data or contact details. You can initiate this if the accountants have not yet been added to your new account.

Here's how:

1. Login to your QBO account as primary admin.
2. Go to the Gear icon, then Manage users.
3. Fill out the Enter personal info fields accordingly.
4. Locate and select View company reports from the Assign roles section.
5. After that, Send invite.
   

However, if the accounting firm individuals were already added as accountant users, please know that you can't directly edit their company role.
