I’ve been very vocal on here about the classic versus the new modern look in reports. I was very disappointed that Intuit didn’t seem to be listening and pushing the changes out regardless.However, credit where credit is due it appears the new layouts have been worked substantially which are a vast improvement on the previous versions. Removing the lines, adding cantering to the layout (especially important for very wide monitors) and there is now the much missed ‘All Dates’ in the filtering. Keep it up Intuit. Please can you make louder noises about the updates to show you are actually listening. We need a product change log page!!!!
My colleague is having issues with the updated Expenses screen - the new columns cannot be de-selected and are cluttering up the screen. Is there any way that these columns can be removed from the main page?The columns are: Category, Costs, Last delivered, Attachments. When she adds the Delivery Date column, the sort feature does not work - for example, we have the following dates:20/12/2303/01/2415/12/23No matter which way you click the column header to sort, it does not sort by date. This is making it difficult to see easily which deliveries are due / overdue - we need to be able to sort by delivery date. I have the same problem. She has also advised that if she uses Categories on a PO instead of Items, you cannot receive part of the order. This may be something she needs to be aware of, to just not use Categories, but this cannot be turned off in our settings (as far as I can tell) - if we can turn it off that would be better.
We have been using the Quickbooks Online software for numerous years now but have never really fully utilized the product or explored its features as we mainly use it for invoicing, expenses and keeping track of payments. We have recently decided that it would be beneficial to implement an inventory system through QB Onliine, is it possible to start this halfway through our financial year without it effecting our sales / expenses figure if we input pre excisting stock? Thanks.
Previously, when I signed up with QuickBooks Self-Employed and downloaded the corresponding app, I used to get a notification when the client had opened and viewed the invoice - something like " (Client's name) has viewed your invoice - one step closer to being paid" About a month or two ago I transferred my phone data over to a new iPhone. While the app works fine, I no longer received the 'viewed your invoice' notification, and cannot find any solutions in settings or on QuickBooks Community at how to get this back? It was a really useful feature for my work, so I'm keen to set it up again!
I have question regarding Doctors accounts.Doctor's patient is hospitalised. Doctor makes hospital visit to see and treat patient. Patient gets discharged.Scenarios:1. Hospital prepares Bill to patient and includes in it the Doctor's charges. Patient pays hospital. Hospital then pays doctor.2. Hospital prepares Bill to patient and includes in it the Doctor's charges. Subsequently all parties or patient and Doctor agree that patient will settle with the Doctor directly. Patient pays hospital bill less the Doctors charges. Patient then owes or pays directly to Doctor afterwards.3. Hospital prepares Bill to patient and excludes in it the Doctor's charges as all parties agree that patient will settle with the Doctor. Patient pays hospital bill. I am currently trying to import 1 months worth of sales receipts from my old website. Everything runs fine, the CSV is formatted as instructed however I receive an error on the "deposit account" column. It states it is not recognised however the column the error shows is actually the "sale receipt number". But as you can see from my screenshot, my import settings are correct and you can see from this attempt I tried putting the "deposit account" as the first column as before it picked up a different column. I have tried using all the suggested actions of a different browser, private mode, reset cache etc. Can anyone help me solve this, I have a years worth to import still 🤓
Hi there I’m a sole trader who is VAT registered. Occasionally I am given floats to cover certain expenses when I am working for a company - like taxis, or providing coffees for other people in meetings. I have to reconcile those floats with the company providing them with receipts. I don’t get any paperwork from the company when I’m issued the cash, it just gets paid into my account. How do I deal with these expenses on quickbooks? It’s not income but I do I have to record those cash advances or the corresponding receipts in quickbooks? If so, how? Also, when I am contracting away from home for a company, they give me per diems to put towards my food and drink while I’m away. I have to invoice for these per diems - they tell me how much to invoice depending on days away. This is not income per se, so how should I record it in quickbooks? And do I have to put through the receipts from those trips away (paid for by the expenses) into quickbooks? How and where do I do that

We are currently using QuickBooks Pro 2013. We are upgrading the Windows Server from 2012 to 2022.Want to know if 2013 Quick Books Pro is liable with Windows Server 2022 or if is there the latest version of QuickBooks available.
I want to close a period form other users making changes except changes with a password.I have some negative stock values in my inventory.QuickBooks Online will not let me close a period until I adjust my negative stock values (i.e. change -20 a 0).Other than adjust the stock values, can I close the period without adjustiong those negative values.
Hello, I have been using QuickBooks for may be nearly 20 years. I last upgraded to Pro 2012 and with retirement have stuck with that to do household expenses record keeping. It was perfect for that. Last time I swapped computers c.2019 support had already been discontinued and I have a vague recollection that when I tracked someone down to remind me of the validation code they pointed me to a download facility. I have been happily using Pro 12 in the Windows 10 environment for these last few years. This week, because of other problems, I had to reinstall Windows 10 and all third party applications are gone. The installation from the disc wont work because Flash Player won't load and then I remembered that perhaps last time I installed from a download. I see that we can no longer download anything older than 2016 but might someone have a copy of 2012 download that would install? I really don't need anything more sophisticated than Pro 2012 I don't need the bells and whistles
I pay myself a salary each month and put it in the owner withdrawal category when I do self assessment return do I have to add in my withdrawals i.e. wages as they don’t appear in the income and expenditure reports thanks 🙏
QBO accountant. Windows 10
Can anyone help with how to obtain affordable QB2013 (or 2016/18) Pro software? After continuing problems with the version I've been using for nearly 10 years, I tried to upgrade to 2016 (and 2018) with software bought from a reputable company in the US. These were not compatible (I got refunded!) but, for the life of me, I cannot find a reputable (and cheaper!) source that will provide me with a UK/GBP version. I have tried QB Online but find the whole process just too clumsy and time consuming and I need to get figures together for tax returns due at the end of January. Any helpful suggestions would be very much appreciated!
I want to change paying via Apple to business debit card so I can upgrade my subscription. QB won’t let me change it and keeps telling me to go to Apple subscription to change but that gives no option to upgrade?
I have Quickbooks accounting now and have entered 3 clients. My own bookkeeping is on Xero which I want to convert to quickbooks too. Is this possible to do without upsetting the information I have already entered.
Hello all, Just started using QuickBooks self employed today and it won't let me save my company information at all, either on the drop down menu or the invoice edit. No error number just message saying "unable to update your company information" Any help would be appreciated greatly. Thanks
Hi, new to quickbooks and to the community so sorry in advance if I'm being dense, and for the below word salad... Which hopefully makes sense. I signed up for an account today and I think I've been a bit misled, either that or I'm not using the software correctly. I'm a sole trader in the construction industry. I mainly work for a couple of contractors or on my own private work. I never, ever, employ other people myself. However, the contractors I work for are obviously CIS registered. I invoice them with my total amount, they then deduct for CIS and pay me the correct amount. I explained this very clearly to a quickbooks advisor on the phone. They told me to get the QBO plan and not the SE plan as the latter doesn't include CIS. Having looked through, the CIS section solely deals with payroll/employees etc. It has seemingly no capability the other way round.. Ie, accounting for CIS deductions made by the person you're sending the invoice to.
