Invoicing emails that are not GMAIL or QB

Can I Connect my 1&1 IONOS email NOT GMAIL to QuickBooks Desktop?

 

If not, why isn't this functionality available? I used WAVEAPPs which is free and was able to easily do this. QB seems to enjoy overcomplicated processes. I moved from QB online to Desktop in order to use multiple currencies as a freelancer and now can't send invoices from my personal email address. 

 

Can someone please advise / shed some light on this?

Thanks for sharing you insights about our email service, @em41,

 

For now, QuickBooks can only support 1AND1.com. If IONOS is using the same ISP, this is how you can set it up in QuickBooks:

 

  1. Go to the Edit menu and then Preferences.
  2. Once done, click on Send Forms then My Preferences.
  3. Choose Web Mail then press Add.
  4. Enter the Email ID and Email Provider as Others.
  5. For the SMTP Server Details, add smtp.1and1.com.
  6. Add 587 for the Port.
  7. Once done, press OK.

When you send invoices, the system will ask for the app password from your email service. You may contact the email provider to get help generating the password for you.
