Solved
I currently send clients an invoice and steer them towards payment via BACS to reduce fees. We ask for a 50% deposit and then balance a little while later. All of these payments then need to be reconciled within Quickbooks, which is time-consuming and a pain. Is it possible to somehow direct clients to pay via Stripe and for that payment to be matched up against a particular invoice?
Yes, you can match the 50% deposit into the invoice, 193514713098469.
The first thing we need to do is to record the 50% deposit. I'll show you how:
- Open the Invoice, select Receive Payment.
- Select the Customer, then locate the invoice and check it.
- Enter the Amount in the payment field.
- Click Save and close.

It will automatically deduct on the total invoice amount. You'll have to record another payment once your customer pay you for the remaining amount. When you download the transactions from Stripe, make sure to match it with the payment you've recorded in QuickBooks. This is how to match it:
- From the left panel, select Banking.
- Locate the payment, then click View.
- Make sure to select the Payment transaction and not the Invoice.
- Click Match.

You can now reconcile the account.
With regards to the Pay by Bolt, I'd suggest contacting Stripe support. They can check if there's a way to integrate this in QBO.
I'll be around if you need more help.
