Let me help you choose the right version of QuickBooks for you, @Celticfc100.

The QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) is intended for freelancers and independent contractors in tracking business-related transactions for estimated tax calculation.

It's the best fit if you're using the SA103F deduction categories to claim allowable expenses for self-employment.

While QuickBooks Online (QBO) is designed for small businesses and VAT registered companies like business owners, sole proprietors, Partnerships, Private limited, Traded Company or co-operative, Charity or Association and Limited Liability Partnership. Most especially if you have employees and you'll need to process payroll.
