Keep getting ‘Error 572 something unexpected happened’ with an RBS account. Anyone experienced this?

To clarify, are you trying to connect your RBS account? Issues like this can be a result of too much historical data stored in your browser. We can remove them in just a few easy steps. Let's start by accessing your account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. You can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N

 

Once logged in, connect your bank again. If it works, clear your browser's cache. This way, you can access QuickBooks with a clean slate. You can also switch to a different supported browser to see if it has something to do with your browser. Otherwise, if you're getting the error when trying to update your bank, refer to this article: Fix Online Banking Errors.

 

If you continue to receive the error code, I'd suggest checking the bank's website to check if they're undergoing maintenance or have server issues. In the meantime, you can manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO) to get the latest ones.
