Logging into Quick Books online

Over the last few days, everytime I go onto MY quickbooks account, I am asked for the following:

1.  Tick a captcha box

2.  Identify various pictures

3. Get a code sent

WHY????? I have not accepted 2 step authentication; nothing has changed my laptop is the same, the IP address is the same????

I resent this intrusion into my account.  I understand that QB wants to ''keep us safe'', but there is a limited.  If I were logging in under different circumstances than usual, I would understand.  This is enough to want to make me leave qb.

Furthermore, also lately, when I do finally get into MY account, all my settings have been changed???? I have an order of sequence which I display things like my currency accounts based on the priority, but they are all mixed up now.  I have to rearrange them every time I log in, I then save it, only to find it back to where qb deems they should be.

For all your security, tell me qb, how is it that this order is changed??? Where is my security from YOU????

Another thing that really annoys me is every time I raise an invoice, a big ugly black box pops up in the middle of the invoice I am TRYING to do prompting me to sign up to paypall.  DO NOT PUSH YOUR PROMOTIONS ON ME.

I once enjoyed using qb, now it has become a negative thing in my daily work.

Appreciate the time you've taken in sharing your experience, @Leo1. I want to ensure this matter is addressed timely.

To begin with, the captcha and code system is one of the needed authentications upon logging in to your account for security reasons. Yes, two-factor authentication mostly happens for fresh login attempts.

Have you performed some troubleshooting recently, like clearing the cache of the current browser you're using? This can be the reason why the multifactor authentication has been triggered and you're asked to complete the process upon logging in to your account.

On that same page, the preferences you made for the accounts displayed upon successful logins can be removed along with the settings made after performing a few troubleshooting steps.

Meanwhile, the users accessing the account in question may also have made the recent changes you experience. Are you the Master Admin and the only user in the account?

If you're the only user of the account and haven't performed any browser troubleshooting steps recently, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Support. With their tools, one of your specialists online can pull up your account on file and let our engineering team further investigate the problem raised.

I want to include that you can connect with our team online during business hours, 6 AM to 6 PM PT Mondays to Fridays. Use this article to read and learn more: QuickBooks Online Support.

On the other hand, it's best to let our product developers know about how the recent change to the invoicing feature is no longer keeping your work efficient. Here's how you can send feedback: How do I Submit Feedback?

Lastly, you may also visit our help articles for reference to use other features in QuickBooks Online. This link contains topics separated by every section on how your work is done such as account management, customers and suppliers activity, and reports.

If you have any other questions about logging in to your account and working with the feature in QuickBooks, please let me know in the comments below. I'll be here to lend a helping hand, Take care always @Leo1!
