Mileage tracking in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is currently limited to recording business miles driven for vehicles and does not include the option to link them to projects or jobs like in QuickBooks Desktop. For now,  you can generate a bill within the respective project and mark it as billable to the customer, utilizing the data from the mileage tracker.

For managing vehicle expenses, you can consider establishing a dedicated account in the Chart of Accounts, if such an account does not exist yet. I suggest  consulting your account to ensure this is set up in alignment with your financial management practices.
