Mileage is still a feature available in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @adamehunt.

You may have switched the user view of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. That's why the Mileage icon isn't directly accessible on your dashboard's left menu. I'll share more details about this and guide you in switching back to your preferred one.

There are two user views in QBO, the Business view and the Accountant view. You may have switched to the Business view. That's why the Mileage feature isn't directly available on your dashboard's left menu to click on. Let's switch views to verify. To do this, here's how:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ or the Gear icon.
  2. Select Switch to Business view or Switch to Accountant view.

Please see this article to learn more about Business and Accountant views in QBO: Switch between Business and Accountant view in QuickBooks Online.

In case the display error continues, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to rule out the possibility of a browser issue and to get you access to the Mileage icon again in QBO.

Your browser saves files to load websites faster on your next visit. But over time, it'll get outdated, which can cause errors and performance issues using QBO.

To fix this, you can perform some troubleshooting steps. Start by pulling up your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser (incognito). Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox)
  • Control Option (Safari)

Once signed in, locate the Mileage icon on the left menu. If you're able to do so, return to your default browser and clear its cache. This will refresh the system and remove older data that causes viewing and performance issues. However, if this matter continues, I'd recommend using other supported browsers.

Once everything is all set, go ahead and categorise and review your trips in QBO. For a complete guide in doing these processes, you may want to check out this article: Automatically track mileage in QuickBooks Online.

Keep me posted in the comments if you have other mileage concerns in QBO. I'll gladly help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @adamehunt.
