When adding business trip info against mileage, why does the start time default to 8.00 am?

Hi there, Maggie67.

Updating the app is the recommended troubleshooting step to resolve issues like this. To reset the app data In Android phones- Select the menu at the top right and choose Settings. Then select Refresh Data and choose Yes. For iOS - Select the menu at the top right and then choose Help & Feedback. Then select Refresh Data and Refresh.

You can also try Uninstalling and reinstalling the app completely.

If the start time is still defaulting to 8 AM after updating or reinstalling the app, please contact our Chat and Email Support Team. They will need to take a look at your account and run more test to double-check why QBSE is behaving this way.

Here's how to reach out to them:

  1. Tap the green + button on the bottom right of any page.
  2. Select Ask QB Assistant.

Hi Maggie67,

The app is designed to capture your phone's time when you start tracking mileage.

Let's update your app and see if it uses your phone's time. If not, please reinstall the app to start fresh.

Feel free to go back on this thread if you have other questions.

Hi Jess

Thanks for your response.  My phone tracks the correct times when I make the journey, but when I add details and select business and then save - it defaults to 8.00 am.  Really strange.

Do you think if we update the app that these entries will revert back to the correct start time of the journey.  It keeps the end time, that doesn't change.

Many thanks

Maggie67
