Question

Mileage, when keying miles I always have to type in start address. In our case this is always the same, can this not just be set as default?

Hi there, @Winnie60. I'll be pleased to share some details about keying miles in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Know that when using the web version, you'll need to manually input the address to track the miles in QuickBooks Online. You can also consider using the mobile app version. There, you can turn on the Auto-tracking feature. If you wish to continue, these are the steps to turn on the feature:

  1. Open the QuickBooks mobile app.
  2. Select the menu ☰ icon and then Mileage.
  3. Select Auto-tracking.
  4. Turn on Auto-tracking.

For the auto-tracking to work, you'll want to turn on your mobile device's background location permissions.

Feel free to visit this article to learn more about setting up mileage tracking in QuickBooks Online: Set up mileage tracking and vehicles in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, you can also visit this page in case you'd like to track your mileage automatically in QBO: Automatically track mileage in QuickBooks Online.
