moving money between classes

a typical situation would be that a funder gives us money to do something so i create a class called varley and record the £500 received

 

in the event the job only costs £280 and the funder is hapy for us to keep the remainder so i want to change the class for the remaining £220 from Varley to the Central class our core funing pot

 

how do i do it

There are different ways how you can transfer funds between classes. It depends on how you received the amount.

 

That said, I'd recommend reaching out to your accountant so you'll be guided on the proper way of recording it without messing up your account.
