MTD Exception my vat return is showing exceptions on sales that were written off as bad debt a couple of years ago, can anyone help me to correct this we are cash accounting.

We just need to check a few things to determine the best way forward

How have you recorded the write for bad debt in the QUickBooks? Have you filed the return with the exceptions in either in QuickBooks or at HMRC?

Just to confirm  are you on Cash accounting for VAT as well as for the accounting method (therefore you have not paid any VAT on those transactions previously)
