Thanks for reaching us out in the Community, Tom. I'd be glad to assist you with your mileage tracking concerns and provide you with some troubleshooting steps.

You can perform some trouble steps in your browser to ensure you run your QuickBooks account smoothly and efficiently. Sometimes, cache-related issues can cause QuickBooks Online (QBO) to load incorrectly, preventing you from connecting with your bank.

Here are the key shortcuts for using a private browser:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If you can successfully log in using a private browser, go to your regular browser and clear its cache.

For the time being, you can manually add your trips in QBO if your trips still don't automatically add.

Here's how:

  1. Log in you QBO account to a web browser.
  2. Go to Expenses, then select Mileage.
  3. Select Add trip.
  4. Enter the Trip date, Start point, End point, Distance, and Business purpose.
  5. Select the vehicle you used.
  6. Click Save.

Furthermore, you can refer to this article if you have challenges tracking your work trip in your Apple or Android device: Fix mileage tracking issues in the QuickBooks mobile app.

Additionally, you can run a mileage report to track over mileage in QBO.

Don't hesitate to comment if you still have concerns about mileage tracking. I'm here to help.
