Question

My PAYE and Account Office reference numbers will not save. I get a 'something went wrong, please try again later' message every time. The numbers are 100% correct.

Which payroll system are you using, advanced or standard? It may be a browsser related issue, we recommend that you clear the cache and cookies on your browser or us an incognito/private window.

Standard payroll.
I did come across someone else with the same problem so I have tried both suggestions below, I have also tried different browsers but still no luck.

We have received reports regarding this matter and it is currently reviewed by our engineers. Temporarily, you can follow this workaround so you can still enter the PAYE and other reference numbers in QuickBooks:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Payroll tab and go to the Employer NI relief section.
  3. Answer the necessary questions so you can save the details.

If the same thing happens, I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team. They can pull up your account and further review the issue.

  1. Click Help in the upper-right corner and select Contact Us.
  2. Enter the details of your concern and click Let's talk.
  3. Select the available option to reach them.
  4. Enter the necessary information to complete the request.
