Question

My QB connection with HSBC is expiring. I have tried to reauthorise the connection but I keep getting error code 400. What should I do?

Let's work together to resolve the error and successfully re-establish your connection between QuickBooks and HSBC.

Typically, error code 400 indicates that the server cannot process your request due to a perceived issue, which may often be related to corrupted data.

In the meantime, I recommend reaching out to HSBC customer support, as they may be conducting maintenance on their end. If they confirm that everything is functioning properly, you can try reauthorizing the connection using a different supported browser or by accessing it in incognito mode.

Kindly refer to the keyboard shortcut keys below to proceed:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If the issue still persists after trying these steps, please don't hesitate to contact our customer support team. They possess the tools and expertise needed to investigate this matter more thoroughly. Here’s how to reach them:

  1. From the Search tab, click Contact Us.
  2. Enter your question and select Continue.
  3. Choose one of the following options: Have us call you or Chat with us.

They are available by phone from 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM Monday - Friday or message them live Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM, and Saturday & Sunday from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
