New Browser Menu - Intuit Going Off On A Tangent

Firstly, I was quite bouyed by the idea of some actual product updates, although would have liked to see all the terrible bugs and missing features fixed before investing time and money into 'new features'

Firstly, these are NOT new features. As far as I can see it's purely a renaming of some new to terms which are a bit, well, lame to put it mildly. Why is Banking, or Transactions now called, Bookkeeping? It's no even the correct term for a banking section!

There's STILL a total lack of Suppliers in the menus, in fact, when you start digging down into it all the bookmarks they are just duplication of pages and aren't that much of a cusomisation, it may save you one extra click at best. Such as, why has the Taxes page have a shortcut when it's one of the main pages anyway, stupid?

Overall this update seems illl thought out and doesn't actually offer much in the way of productivity improvements. It's just simply a shuffle about of where pages are which will in fact slow users down.

I wish Intuit would look at the outgoing Desktop version and understand why that product worked so well for us users of many decades. And one of the reason is how stable the GUI and layout has been year after year. Everyone hates change just for changes sake, and a feature isn't a feature unless users have requested a feature.

Please, will you get your act together and listen to your customers, instead of driving them away with stupid, dumb, no one asked for them, 'updates'

I await one of the Intuit staff member to engage and discuss my thoughts. But, on the other hand the reply will probably one of the typical, copy and past, not read the post, please fill in the feedback form.

We hear your sentiments, @Mark Armistead. I'd like to provide some insights regarding some of the product updates made in QuickBooks Online.

There are fresh ideas and improvements that are implemented at QuickBooks each day.  Some are minor adjustments that enhance your QuickBooks experience. Others are game-changing advancements that have the potential to change the way you handle your financial activities.

Our customers influence all of our developments. Every year, we spend literally thousands of hours talking to small business owners and self-employed people to have a thorough knowledge of the problems they encounter. Your feedback guides us in determining our consumer objectives moving forward.

Additionally, the terms you see on QuickBooks depend on which view you're using. It's likely that you're using the Business View. Here's an article you can read to find out more information on what to see when you change your view in QBO: Switch between Business and Accountant view in QuickBooks Online.

Lastly, browse this module about fixing any speed issues in QBO: Why is my QuickBooks Online slow?

I'll also include this link to learn more about your computer and browser's compatibility with QuickBooks: System requirements for QuickBooks Online, Accountant, Payroll, and QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Please let us know if there's anything else we can help you with about this matter. We're always available to answer your queries regarding QuickBooks in particular. Take care!

So you say you spend thousands or hours talking to small buisness owner about their needs, but yet, you totally ignore all the suggestion via this community page? Or never fix issues or sort out the missing features.

I've always used accountant view as I find the buisness view, and even more so now, too Americanised in terms and luanguage.
