I entered a new client then she informs that the email she gave me in already being used in QBO for another company. Can I change the email? Will QBO send her another invite?

Yes, you can send an invite to the other email address and delete the old one. Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Manage Users.
  2. Click the green Add user button.
  3. Mark the user type you want to assign to this client.
  4. Hit Next.
  5. Fill in the First name, Last name, and Email fields. Make sure to enter the new email address.
  6. Hit Save to send the invite.

Have your client accept the email invitation and log in using existing Intuit credentials or create a new one.


Once done, delete the previously entered profile. Follow the steps below:

  1. From the Manage Users window, look for the profile of the client with the incorrect email address.
  2. Click the Resend invite drop-down and select Delete.
  3. Hit Delete to save the changes.
