Will Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2017 work with Windows 11?  If not, what is the latest version that will work with Win 11?

Thanks for reaching out to us. Let me share some info regarding the system requirement for QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Pro 2017.

 

This version only supports the following operating systems (OS):
 

  • Windows 10, all editions including 64-bit, natively installed
  • Windows 8.1 (Update 1), all editions, including 64-bit, natively installed
  • Windows 7 SP1, all editions including 64-bit, natively installed
  • Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2008 R2

 

If you're using Windows 11, I'd suggest using the QuickBooks Desktop 2022 or a newer version for optimal compatibility.

Please take note that this resource is intended for US versions of the said product. Although, the same information can still be applied to the QBDT UK versions.

I understand that QB Desktop 2022 requires a subscription.  What does this subscription cover and please confirm that it is required.  Thanks.

It still depends on whether you want to upgrade your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest 2022 version since it's supported with your Windows 11.
