Screen View - change layout

Hi all,

I've been using QB Online for a long time - I used to have the desktop version where the screen layout of invoices etc. could be moved around.

 

We have 2 office locations and when we issue an invoice / estimate etc. it defaults to the last location used and it is often missed.

I would like to have it on the left side where all the boxes that we edit are so it's prominent. Can this be done?

I appreciate your loyalty to QuickBooks Online (QBO), @melady.

 

Both QBO and QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) offers a variety of features. However, these two have each own differences in significant ways. That being said, the option for us to change QBO's invoice layout that is similar to QBDT isn’t available.

 

As a way around, you can import your own invoice template and use it in your account. Let me show you how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Click on QuickBooks Labs.
  3. Toggle the switch for Import Style to On and click Done to save your changes
  4. Click the Gear icon again and select Custom Form Styles.
  5. Under the New Style drop-down, select Import Style.
  6. Select your file and click Next to upload your document.
