Welcome to the Community forum, @TrueColours. I'm here to help ensure that you can update your payment subscription to continue working with your business in QuickBooks Online.

May I ask if you encounter any error messages when updating your paid subscription? I appreciate any extra information you can give, it will help us get on the same page and provide accurate resolution.

While waiting for your reply, let's perform some basic troubleshooting steps to fix the problem since stored cache in the system can cause unexpected behavior in the product. You can start by opening a private (incognito) window. Using a safe browser and accessing the program from there can usually fix the issue.

 Here's how:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

Once done, update your payment subscription by following the steps below. If it works, clear the browser's cache to remove its stored cache and ensure the program performs efficiently. You can also use other supported browsers as alternatives

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) as a primary admin.
  2. Go to the Gear icon, then Account and Settings.
  3. Select Billing & Subscription.
  4. Next to your payment method, select Edit.
  5. Update your credit card info.
  6. Review the address for your credit card. It must be the same one that appears on your credit card statements.
  7. Hit Save.
