Hello, I got an email from QBO Care today stating the following:

Dear Valued QuickBooks Online Customer,

We are pleased to inform you that your issue has been resolved. The resolution has been implemented and this bank account should be ready for your use.

If you require additional information, please call QuickBooks Support at [removed] to speak with a support person directly or you can use the Help link found on the top right of any screen in your QuickBooks Online company. From there, you can search for the best answer to fit your question or contact QuickBooks Customer Care if needed.

Thank you,
QuickBooks Online Support

The issue is I never asked for any support recently from Quickbooks and the subject line of the email references a case number that I cannot find any record of in the past. Can someone let me know if they've also received any similar emails umprompted?

We prioritize your safety and will assist you in verifying the email, Aqiang.

I understand your concern regarding the email you received from QuickBooks Online Support, especially since you didn't initiate any recent support requests, and the email references a case number you cannot find a record of.

It's important to be cautious when receiving unexpected emails like this. To address your concern and verify the legitimacy of the email, make sure to check the sender's email address.

Our emails will consistently originate from an email address featuring the domain name @intuit.com. To maintain security, it's crucial not to open or interact with any suspicious links. I strongly advise you to report such instances to our security team for the safeguarding of your data.

Here's how:

  1.  Proceed to the Intuit Online Security Center.
  2. Select Go to security notices for further information.
  3. If you don't find a similar email within the Security notices, choose Report a suspicious email to file a report.

Additionally, you can contact our support team to investigate if the email is from Intuit or a possible phishing email that needs to be forwarded to our security team for assessment.

It's always a good practice to exercise caution with unexpected emails, especially those related to account access or support.

Furthermore, I've provided some links to assist you in recognizing authorized Intuit communications and websites. This will enable you to maintain the security of your data:

We appreciate your vigilance in this matter. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let us know. Your peace of mind is important to us, and we are here to assist you every step of the way.
