I hope you're doing well, ashmisabers-gmai.

May I know the specific bank error message you've encountered when trying to connect your bank in QuickBooks Self-Employed app? This way, I can check our records if there are any investigations reported related to your situation.

In the meantime, let's make sure to update the app to the latest version. This might be the reason why you're unable to connect the account.

For android devices, here's how:

  1. On your device, open the Google Play store.
  2. On the home screen, tap the Menu ☰ icon.
  3. Select My apps & games.
  4. In the Updates tab, look for the QuickBooks Self-Employed app.
  5. If you see the option, tap Update.

For iOS users, you can follow these steps:

  1. On your device, open the App Store.
  2. Tap the Today tab, then select your profile.
  3. In the Available updates section, look for the QuickBooks Self-Employed app.
  4. If you see the option, tap Update.

You can also try connecting your bank account using the web browser. If you get an error code, feel free to check it out in this article: Open Banking connection errors.

If you decide to manually enter the transactions, the instructions are included in this link: Manually import transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Once you have all the transactions, you can review and categorise them.

Please let me know of the result. I'll be right here to help until you can connect the account. Take care!
