Transfer QB online Subscription from UK to South Africa

I have always used the UK version of QuickBooks Online. But now I need to transfer it to the South African QB online subscription. The new UK version forces UK addresses and postal codes onto my Company information in invoices and other documents. I have attempted to fix it by manually editing the addresses, but the revisions cant be saved. 

 

Since I don't have this challenge with my other Company's QB South African version, transferring the UK subscription to the South African version should resolve this issue.

 

Any advice on how to go about transferring the subscription?

Prepare your new QBO South Africa version

then you may have 2 ways to convert data:

1. Utilize a migration tool

2. Purchase a 3rd party conversion service.

Currently, there's no direct way to transfer your data to another QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscription. You'll have to create a new QBO company file for South Africa to transfer your data from the UK version. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to this link and choose the QBO South Africa plan you want to subscribe to: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/za/pricing/
  2. You can click the Buy Now button or the Free 30-Day Trial.
  3. Click the Sign in link next to Already have an Intuit account?
  4. Follow the on-screen process to proceed.

 

Once done, you can proceed to export the data from your QBO UK company file. Here's an article for your reference: Export data, reports, lists, and more from QuickBooks Online.

 

After exporting the data, you can now import the data into your QBO Africa company. Please refer to this article for more information about the importing data process: Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.

 

On the other hand, you'll want to utilize what Fiat Lux-ASIA has shared above or look for a third-party app that lets you convert or migrate your data automatically to the new QBO South Africa company.
