What is best way to upgrade from QB Pro 2015

Let me share some insights about upgrading from an older version of QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to the newer one so you can continue managing the growth of your business.

Your best option is to upgrade from QBDT Pro 2015 to QBDT Pro 2021. Before doing so, make sure your laptop meets the system requirements to guarantee your best experience using the program. 

However, please know that we have decided to discontinue QBDT for our UK customers. We won’t be launching a 2022 edition of QBDT for the UK, but you will continue to receive full support until 31 January 2023. Whenever you're ready to upgrade, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to Windows as an admin user.
2. Download your new version (2021) of QuickBooks Desktop.
3. Follow the steps to install your new version.

The QuickBooks program has a 3-year life cycle. That means you'll have to convert your data file(s) in stages from 2015 to 2018 or 2019 to 2021. Then, restore the file in between. You need to find and install the trial license of QuickBooks 2018/2019 before converting the file(s) to QBD 2021.
