Let me help you get your Gear icon working, drfmaesthetics.

When a browser's cache data becomes full or damaged, an icon like the Gear one doesn't load properly. To better isolate if this is a browser issue or not, let's access QuickBooks Online using a private or incognito window.

Here's how you can access private browser:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Then, log out and log back into QBO to see the Gear icon.

If it works, just perform the following steps below:

  1. Try clearing your browser's cache to delete those temporarily stored files.
  2. Then, clear Intuit-specific cookies to refresh website preferences on your program. Just go to Step 2: Clear Intuit-specific cookies from your browser section in this article: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.
  3. You can also use other supported, up-to-date browsers to be thorough.

I've got a link here where you can find articles about running your business in your account: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/help-articles/misc/03/help-articles-uk?label=QuickBooks%20Online.

Keep me posted if you need a hand with running transactions or any QBO related. I'll be here to ensure your success. Take care always.
