When i try to import my chart of accounts from qb pro desktop (not MTD compliant) i get error messages in every line. where is accounts payable/recievable etc in QBO

In QuickBooks Online they may be called debtors and creditors.

Regarding the migration of the chart of accounts have you exported a csv of the chart of accounts from the desktop product and then imported them into the QuickBooks Online using the import data section in the cog in the top right of QuickBooks Online?You may need to change some of the account type detail to match the chart of account names in QuickBooks Online.

ou can go to accounting>chart of accounts>new, to view the different account and detail types available.

Would you be able to provide a screen shot of the errors that you are seeing so we can see where the other issues may be coming from.
