Why is it not reading or picking up any mileage at all when i drive my car i have all the settings correct.

I've got you covered, @userlimitlesssecure.

 

To start, let's refresh your app data. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Hamburger menu (☰).
  2. Click Help & Feedback.
  3. Select Refresh.

 

This way, you'll be able to update your mileage in QuickBooks. For more details about the process, please see this article: Troubleshooting Quick-Start Guide for the QuickBooks Online app. 

 

You may also open our QuickBooks Online access for mobile devices page to know the system requirements needed for your device.

 

Also, let's make sure that your device location permission is set to Always. You also need to enable Motion and Fitness permission. If this is permissions are already enabled and your trips still not syncing in QBO, you can manually add and track them in the system. Just proceed to Step 3 of this article: Automatically track mileage in QuickBooks Online.

 

Then, once you reached your destination, you'll have to review and categorize your trip.

I have done all of those things and got in my car again and still nothing.

I appreciate your time doing the steps provided by my colleague. Here are a couple of other solutions you can do to fix this. 

 

Have you tried updating your phone? The latest updates can help ensure your apps are running smoothly. 

 

If you've already done it, you'll want to uninstall and reinstall the mobile app to fix this. After uninstalling, you can download it again here: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/uk/mobile-apps/.

 

Alternatively, you can manually add your trips in QuickBooks Online. Here's how: 

 

  1. In a web browser, log in to your QuickBooks Online company. 
  2. Go to the Mileage menu.
  3. Click Add Trip.
  4. Add the trip date, starting and ending locations, distance, and the purpose.
  5. Hit Save.
