Hi there,

Certainly, a journal entry can effectively clear the balance on the affected account. However, to know the balancing accounts to use on the journal, please contact your accountant to not mess up your books.

Furthermore, if you can locate the transaction affecting the balance for that account, you may undo the added transaction and categorise them once more using the correct account/category.

Here's how to undo the downloaded transaction:

  1. Click on Transactions tab and choose Bank transactions.
  2. Click on the bank account and click on Categorised.
  3. Select the blue transaction link in the Added or Matched column to see the matched transaction.
  4. Click on Undo option.

The transaction will move back to Fir review and ready for you to be categorised.

Unmatch downloaded bank transactions or move them to another account.
