Changed Business Structure from Sole Proprietorship to an LLC, do I need a new account?

If you receive a new ABN number from the ATO, you'll need to sign up for a new QuickBooks Online account. Otherwise, you can continue using your current subscription plan.

To change your business type in your company settings:

1. Click on the Settings icon.
2. Click on Account & Settings.
3. Click on the Company tab.
4. From there, you can change your business numbers, tax forms and industry.

I recommend also to consult an accounting professional to get the best advice on how to handle the transition. Here in this forum, we can only provide the steps you can do in QuickBooks, but handling your books is best assisted by your accountant.
