I am wanting to make a product inactive but it still has quantity . is it best to adjust quantity to 0 then make it inactive or is it best just to make it inactive

Thanks for posting in the Community! You can make your inventory items inactive without changing them to zero as the system will automatically create an inventory quantity adjustment. The inventory quantity adjustment will zero out the inventory item's quantity on hand.

Here's how to make an inventory item inactive:

1. Go to Gear icon ⚙, then select Products and services.
2. Find the product or service that you want to make inactive.
3. From the Action column ▼ dropdown menu, select Make inactive.
4. Select Yes.

Please note that inactive product or service will no longer show in reports and will show as Name of the product or service (deleted) in transactions.
