I like to extend an extra hand to help, kbraff.

I'll provide some basic troubleshooting steps. We need to ensure that the app is updated and that the latest version works with your device. The software also keeps cache files, occasionally resulting in a strange response from the system. Let's clear the app's cache by doing the following steps to start:

In the QuickBooks Online app:

  • Android: From More Options ⋮, select Settings, then select Refresh Data. Then, tap Yes.
  • iOS: From the Menu, ☰ select Help & Feedback, choose Refresh Data, and then select Refresh.

In your device Settings:

  • Android: From your device's Settings, select Apps (varies by device), choose QuickBooks app from the list, and then tap Storage. Finally, hit clear data.
  • iOS: From your device's Settings, select Setting General iPhone Storage and choose an app that takes up much space. To free up the Storage without deleting the documents and data for the app, hit Offload App.

If the same thing happens, we can uninstall and reinstall the app. Alternatively, you can use our supported web and mobile browsers: Check our supported browsers on both web and mobile devices

I've added these articles to learn more about the mobile app feature:

I'm all ears if you have other questions besides the mobile app, and I'll help you out. Stay safe!
