When doing payruns it only downloads the payment file into word DOC file and need it to save as excel file.how do i chage the setting

The ABA file generated in QuickBooks Online Payroll is usually in a txt form or based on what the bank requires. It could be you have selected open or download file as Word Doc. I would recommend to redo the creating of the ABA file.

1. Go to Employees tab.
2. Click on Pay Runs.
3. Locate and open the pay run, and click on Payment File.
4. Click on Download ABA file.
