Account Cancelled by Intuit

I am a longtime user of QB and recently set up a new profile for a new business.  Intuit cancelled my new account after 2 months and gave no notice or reason for doing so.  They said they would not do any review of the account, that the decision was final, and that they would not let me speak to a manager.  I tried with 3 reps and eventually asked to speak to a manager regarding my original subscription account.

The call was very strange and once again no reason was given for having cancelled my new account even though they'd charged two payments already.  I then called head office and was directed to a form for the Office of the President.  I sent a request and eventually received a callback.

This conversation was equally as strange.  The rep kept trying to insinuate that my new business account was somehow linked to my existing business.  This is not the case.  Both are separately registered corporations and are registered with the government as they were able to verify.

I was questioned as to why I didn't have a functioning website. Is this a crime? We're a new business and currently getting everything set up).

I was asked to provide a "complete copy of Business Contractual Agreement that you present to your customers for the services or products your business provides."  We do not require customers to sign contracts...and again we are a very new business with only 1 customer currently.  How would this be the business of an accounting software subscription service anyway?

I was asked to "share your business advertising you are using since your company does not have a website or advertising."  On the phone they wanted to know why we didn't have business cards. We don't have any printed yet, and what is the relevance?

I was questioned as to how we conduct business without a website or cards.  I explained that we make sales calls and visit physical businesses to meet people, you know, like how people used to do business.  This apparently was not an acceptable answer.

I was told I'd need to upload 6 month of bank statements.  We haven't even had our account open more than 2 months and similarly, what is the relevance here?  If and when we connect our bank account that is between us and our bank...

The rep had a serious issue with the address on file being a residential address.  The corporation is registered to a home address because we have a home office.  How is this a red flag?  Millions of people have this same setup.

The rep wanted me to verify a bunch of information from my existing subscription in order to speak about my new account that they cancelled.  I did not provide this information because it felt like a shakedown and my other business has nothing to do with this new business.  They're entirely separate.

I keep asking what the interrogation is about and they will not provide any actual clarification other than they need to "verify" my business.  Again, Intuit was able to find our business registration without issue.  It was completed by our lawyer and accepted by the government.  What exactly is the play here?

The overall tone of this conversation was very hostile and accusatory.  I feel extremely insulted to be treated in this way as a customer of 10 years.  Does all my previous history with Intuit amount to nothing?  I honestly don't know where to take it from here, but if this continues then I will not continue to pay a company to treat me this way.  It's absolutely uncalled for.
